For the advanced food photographer looking to take their #skillz to the next level. Are you ready to reach your full potential?
We created Advanced Foodtography School for the eager student looking to take their photos from good to GREAT. This is a fast-paced, information-packed course that will forever change the way you shoot your food photos.
Advanced Foodtography School will help you to learn subtleties in editing, develop a more complex grasp composition, and teach you intricacies in food styling that will elevate your photos immediately.
Advanced Foodtography is founded on the belief that food photography, like any other form of visual art, is inherently linked to strong composition and visual principles of design. In studying these topics, you will see your food photography transform into a static art form.
-
DEVELOP YOUR COMPOSITION TECHNIQUESThe Rule Of Thirds is so last year. In this course, you’ll study both theoretical and mathematical art principles that will speed up your shooting process, energize your compositions, and make your photos more unique and complex.
-
TAKE YOUR EDITING SKILLS TO THE NEXT LEVELYou’ll discover how to manipulate tone curves, camera calibrations, and the HSL panel like never before. You’ll learn all about Ansel Adam’s Zone System and how it serves as a framework for your editing style. Plus, you’ll also gain access to 8 editing videos that deep dive into Lightroom manipulation!
-
ELEVATE YOUR UNIQUE STYLE
The ultimate goal as a food photographer is to develop a unique style that stands out from the crowd. Through five visual and theoretical exercises, you’ll develop a look, feel, and brand that is distinct to you.
This course is not for the beginner who is just getting used to shooting in manual mode, has only been photographing for a few months, or does not feel comfortable in Lightroom.

@SHILPAIYEREATS SAYS…
While regular foodtography school validated and put in concrete terms what I already felt I knew (but didn’t know how to implement properly) about food photography, advanced took it to a completely different level than I had expected. Sarah explained so many more concepts that really elevated my photography. Those concepts are things I continuously think about now when I begin a shoot, whether it’s for client work or personal work. Things that have really made the difference between a good food photo and a great one. I do truly believe that my knowledge from the Advanced course has given me the tools to work with large brands and even exceeding their expectations. Who could ask for more?! -
@BASILANDBAY SAYS…
I now go into a shoot with a plan of how I am going to style it and with an idea of what I want it to look like instead of taking ages setting up, tweaking things over and over, and after all that still not being 100% satisfied on the photos. From my genuine experience, I would say if you are planning on making food photography/blogging a career, Advanced Foodtography School is well worth the investment – I’ve learned SO MUCH and can see the improvement in both my photos and confidence when taking them. I also LOVE being a part of the private Facebook groups, it is so nice to be in such a positive group where everyone is genuinely rooting for each other. -
@TABLE.LANE SAYS…
Advanced Foodtography School is very in-depth. It gives specific styling tips for certain types of foods which I think is extremely useful. I’ve found the lessons to be enjoyable, informative, and totally WORTH IT! I’m really glad I took Advanced because it is another level of learning and helped my progress immensely.
